How to play Hangman
- A hidden word appears as blanks, along with its category.
- Guess a letter. Correct letters fill in every position they occupy.
- Each wrong letter draws one more piece of the gallows.
- Six wrong guesses and the round is lost. Reveal the whole word to win.

Tips & strategy
- Open with the vowels E, A and O. Almost every English word contains at least one of them.
- After the vowels, try R, S, T, L and N — they are the most common consonants by a wide margin.
- Use the category. A word in Animals behaves very differently from one in Science.
- Count the blanks. Short words are riskier because each wrong guess costs a larger share of your six lives.
