How to play Reaction Time

  1. Press Start, then wait.

  3. Click as soon as you see green.
  4. Five rounds are averaged into your final result. Clicking early voids the round.

Tips & strategy

  • Rest your finger lightly on the button rather than hovering โ€” travel time counts.
  • Watch the centre of the panel, not the edges.
  • Do not try to predict the delay; it is randomised each round specifically to punish that.
  • Keyboard reactions are usually 10 to 20 ms faster than mouse clicks.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good reaction time?

Around 250 ms is typical for an adult. Under 200 ms is quick, and under 160 ms is exceptional.

Why did my round get voided?

You clicked while the panel was still red. Early clicks are discarded so the average stays honest.

Does my display affect the result?

Yes. Screen refresh rate and input lag can add 10 to 50 ms, so compare your results to your own past scores rather than to other devices.
