How to play Skyscrapers

  1. Press New Game. Clues sit outside the grid on all four sides.
  2. Fill every row and column with heights 1 to N, each once.
  3. A clue is how many buildings you can see from that side — a taller one hides every shorter one behind it.
  4. Tap a cell, then a number. Satisfy every clue to solve it.

Tips & strategy

  • A clue of 1 means the tallest building (N) sits right at that edge.
  • A clue of N means the row climbs 1, 2, 3 … in order from that side.
  • Large clues need the low buildings up front so more stay visible.
  • Use the Latin-square rule alongside the clues to lock cells down.

Frequently asked questions

How do the edge clues work?

Each number counts how many buildings are visible looking along that line, where a taller building blocks all shorter ones behind it.

Is it like Sudoku?

It shares the Latin-square rule — each row and column holds 1 to N once — but it's solved through the visibility clues.
