Tips & strategy

  • Chase the upper-section bonus early — three of each number gets you to 63.
  • Keep the Yahtzee and large straight boxes in mind; they're the biggest single scores.
  • When a roll is a bust, dump it in Ones or Chance rather than wasting a good box.
  • Holding a pair and rerolling three dice is usually better than chasing a long straight.

Frequently asked questions

How does scoring work?

Upper boxes score the sum of matching dice; lower boxes pay fixed amounts for combinations like a full house, straights, four of a kind and the 50-point Yahtzee.

What is the bonus?

Score 63 or more across the six upper boxes — roughly three of each number — and you earn a 35-point bonus.

Your record is the highest grand total you finish a game with.
